About Us

Who We Are

Kindling Collector was first thought of in the early 2000s by the founder Donald Hillis. A basic version was hacked together in 2019 using simple bungee cords and a folded metal handle. These bungee cords didn't withstand regular use and would fray and break over time. These challenges were overcome in early 2021 and our first successful prototype far exceeded our expectations. The Kindling Collector has since been through multiple refinements since prototype with assistance from ProDev Wellington.

A Few Words About

Our Team

Kindling Collector is founded and driven by a passionate team of innovative kiwis, who want to see our product assist people across the entire globe. We see a world where kindling collectors are in every wood burning home, and nobody has to pick up, restack and collect wood off the ground again.
We have partnered with experts in the engineering space to develop, refine and produce a tool to the highest quality for our customers. Our customers are at the center of what we do and influence all of the decisions we make.

"Teamwork is the method that which enables common people to achieve uncommon results."
